So today I thought I'd share some projects with you and a few good news! ;)

First off here's my last 2 cards I did for Di Hickman's sketch site (April sketch #3 and #4)

Last week over at the Creative Imaginations blog my Disney countdown project was featured! :)  And in our local paper the Tracy Press, my ice cream quilt I made was photographed for the article. :) You have to click on the little slideshow there.  It's also in the printed newspaper from yesterday! :)  Kind of fun!

Well it's getting late and I have to take the kids to school and go off to decorate cakes for a few hours before I can tackle more scrap projects!  Dh is serving jury duty this week and actually has to go in today, we'll see how that goes.

Our 9th Anniversary!

For 9 years now Mark and I have been married.  He is my soulmate, my best friend, my lover, my supporter.  We've had our ups and downs like any married couple, but I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world!  We plan on going to Half Moon Bay this weekend to celebrate and to have some alone time without our boys. :)

Back to reality

Disneyland was a blast!  It was tiring, but it was fun!   The boys for the most part had a great time.  James after the first few days didn't want to go on any rides that dropped, like Pirates or Thunder or even Star Tours.  He says he was scared of them.  So we did a lot of turns on Monsters, Inc., Toy Story Mania (so cool!!!), Winnie the Pooh and others. 

My in-laws met us there for a few days to celebrate James' 7th birthday.  I had special shirts made and really James had at least 50 different people say Happy birthday to him in the parks...I think by the end of the day he was a bit tired of the attention.  :)  Our cousin Katie was also down there for a few days with her friends, so she hung out with us for a bit too!  I was able to go on Tower of Terror a few times with her since Mark doesn't like that ride.

I am in the middle of uploading pictures, I have about 500 from this trip... I didn't take as many as I wanted to.  :(  But that's ok.  Mark and I are already planning our next trip there for next spring for our 10 year anniversary.

I showed Minnie my nails....she LOVED them and gave me a high five!  I think she was impressed and flattered. ;)

 

James' dinner night was at Goofy's kitchen.  It was fun...apparently Goofy is Mark's long lost brother... :) :) (you had to be there!) lol.

 

And no trip is complete without seeing the mouse man himself!  :)

ONE more week!!!!!

:)  Nope, not at all excited here....lol. This time next week, we'll be on the rode....We plan on leaving at 5 AM, so the boys sleep a bit in the car. I have my packing lists made, I have all the luggage in our bedroom ready to start, I've been doing some extra spring cleaning so that when we get back home it's nice and clean.  This last weekend Mark and I upgraded our dinosaur phones ;) to the iphones. Holey smokes, those things are cool!  :) :)  There's even an app for Disneyland! :)  It has the map of Disneyland (though we know that place like the back of our hand), has the wait times for the rides, all the menus and prices.....So much to it!  Though it's only limited to Disneyland, it doesn't have DCA (California Adventure) nor the resort hotel restraunts, or Downtown Disney. 

This weekend I also purchased my tickets to see the New Kids again! :) :)  They'll be here in July, and this time Mark's cousin Katie is going with me!  :)  My sister in law would go with me, but it's right before her first anniversary.  I got really good seats this time!!!!  Not too far from the stage, though I did have better seats, at least 10 rows closer, but the site was having problems and I lost those tickets.  grrr.... But that's ok, I'm going again!  That's all that matters!  :) 

I think my brain has been on vacation mode this past week....I've barely done anything creative.  I have a few assignments I need to finish up this week before I go, but otherwise I won't stress much about it.  So if the blog isn't updated for awhile you know why....

Reasons I love you...

It's Friday!!!!!  Thank goodness!!!!!!! :) :)  So ready for the weekend!  I have big plans this weekend to work on scrap stuff!!!!  I have a circle journal I need to start for a new group I joined, there's like 6 layouts that are in progress I want to finish, some cards for Di's sketch site to finish up, a couple of dt assignments, still my New Kid's concert album, yeah....the list goes on and on!  I don't think there's much going on this weekend, so I should be able to hide in my studio! ;)

I'm again going down to the store today to help with some back up cakes for a couple of hours, I wish I could be there more, but can only do it while Andrew is in school.  Though if they need me on Saturday, you know I won't say no.....I'm such a yes person.  lol.

Well I wanted to share with you the other cards I did with the april kit from CupCards {to go}.

 

 

 

Tomorrow morning I'm going to be online hopefully buying some awesome seats to the next New Kids' concert that's coming here in July.  :)  This time Mark's younger cousin Katie is coming with me! :)  My SIL wanted to come, but it's a few days before her first anniversary and sounds like they are leaving the concert day to go to Vegas to celebrate!  But at least I'll have someone to go with again!  Of course, Mark wonders why I have to see them again, since I saw them last October....I just give him this look of "silly man....I can never get enough of them!"  :) :)

T-minus 11 days for Disneyland!

Thinking of you...

In a couple of hours after the boys are dropped off at school, I'm going to be heading down to my friend's store to help her finish decorating some orders that go out tomorrow.  Gayle called me yesterday to let me know that her mom died yesterday and that she's flying out today to Iowa.  My heart is with her right now. 

The April kits went up for sale over at CupCards {to go}!  Get yours while you can! :) :)  Here's a few cards I did with this kit.

T-minus 12 days for Disneyland!

decisions...

Oh, you know life is just filled with lots of decisions....especially big ones!  Mark and I have been toying with buying a new car and even test drove a few, but I don't think we're quite ready to take the big leap.  We haven't had a car payment in 8 years.  To add that to the equation is pretty tough.  Though we know it's going to have to be done sooner than later.  The car we want to replace is my car, it's a 17 year old Pontiac Bonneville, that we inherited from my in-laws 7 years ago.  And just this weekend, we had two things "break" on it....but we're going to keep going at least for one more year.  Mark has promised me that next spring, after we get tax refunds back we will for sure buy a new car!  I'm holding him to that!!!!!!!  So this year will be the year to finish paying off CC's which is a good thing.

We're now down to 13 days!!!!!!!  ;)  Last time we went I took I think 250 pics???  I bet this time I take close to 1000, since we'll have the boys with us and the in-laws too! 

As for scrapping...yeah, still haven't done too much....James came down with a virus for 4 days and then with the car issues I haven't scrapped.  I need to get back into the groove.  And I feel bad that I havent' met my goals for this blog that I wanted to do....I was going strong, but then things happened and I slacked off.  Hoping that after the trip I can restart again....(crossing fingers)

I do have an Easter card to share with you today.  Just a simple little one.  :)
