I've been once again been bitten by the quilting bug. Over the years I have always done a project or two, but right now I just want to do it so much more. In fact, last night I went to our local quilting guild Hearts N' Pieces and joined! My aunt is one of the co-founders and I know a few ladies already in there. I'm the second youngest, but that doesn't bother me! What I do love is that I don't have to get into the business side of this hobby. It can remain that....a hobby. No deadlines for magazines or design teams. No stress over having the latest and greatest because the magazines will only publish that. Oh, I'm so going to enjoy this!
As for scrapbooking, I'm still going to do it. But it will not be my complete focal point. I will still design for the few teams I am on. I will still submit to magazines (as I still love seeing my name in print as well as there's another Disneyland trip I need to save up for next year). And if some awesome opportunity came up I wouldn't say "No". What you may see less of is me being on message boards. Not that I'm on there all the time, but now it will be even less. I've been enjoying the mornings browsing through some boards, but then staying off the computer for the rest of the day and actually getting more things done around the house (crafting and non-crafting). I do have my iphone that I can check my emails when I need to throughout the day if needed.
So that's whats up with me. :)
Oh, did you see that the June kit for CupCards {to go} is up???!!!! Sonda is no longer doing subscriptions...it's first come first serve!! It's a great kit! Here are a few of the cards I made with it.
I'll share more tomorrow. I have to go in today to prep for this weekend. It's graduation time in Livermore, and there's a bunch of extra stuff I need to do like make a bunch of graduation caps, petunias, make colors etc. It will also be the first day where I have to take the boys with me. sigh. I hope they behave!!! I'll be bringing the portable dvd player so hopefully they can chill for a couple of hours.
Until later, have a great day and do something creative for yourself!
