This is a really quick blog post! I'm all done with my cards for the May kit reveal for CupCards {to go}! But I just can't yet share with you my cards. Darn it! lol. :)
But I can give you a very lil' sneak peek....

Today Mark and I are celebrating our 11th year of marriage! Happy Anniversary to my best friend and my love!!!!! We've been together for 14 years now but it really doesn't seem like it has been that long. Time is just flying by!
Let's walk down memory lane a bit....
This was us when we were so young!
Here we are on our wedding day....
And here is a look at me in my wedding dress...
Now imagine taking that dress and cutting it up...
and then making this...
For years my wedding dress has been hanging in the closet. I was blessed with boys, so they won't want my dress and really what good does the dress do just hanging there? So I read somewhere online that people make crazy quilts out of their wedding dresses. I talked it over with Mark first to make sure he was ok with it and 8 months later.....I have a wedding dress crazy quilt. All of the middle blocks are pieces of my wedding dress. I have appliqued on different parts of the bodice on to the blocks as well. Below is more pictures of each block in detail.
I have kept the rest of the dress in a container and will keep away until my boys one day get married and at that point I will make them each a ring bearers pillow from my dress so they have something of our wedding for theirs. Awwwwwww...... :) :)
The purple ribbon on this block is the same ribbon that held my grandfather's wedding ring that was placed in my dress, so that Grandpa would be with me as I walked down the aisle and made my vows to Mark. My dear Grandpa died when I was 16 and I still miss him greatly.
Today we are taking the kids over to Oma and Papa's and spending some quality time together. The boys won't come back home until late tomorrow afternoon! Yay!!!! :) :)

As you can see it's been really slow over here....
Having a broken foot really puts a damper on life. Especially when there is so much to do around the house, with the kids, with family and friends and all the creative projects I want to do.
All I've been able to do is a lot of hand sewing. I'm supposed to keep my foot elevated as much as possible so doing paper crafts is not quite on the list right now. At least not as much as I'd like to do. A card here or there if needed, but otherwise, I am sitting on the couch with the dumb cast up on pillows. So stinkin' boring!
Yesterday I had my foot surgery. I was schelduled to have surgery already on my big toe, I had a cyst that needed to be removed and it has been horrendous pain for the last year, so that was taken care of yesterday. I wanted to get an orange cast (for my Giants), but the surgery area only has white/clear fiberglass ones, so I'll have to get creative. :) It's a true blank canvas, so there's much I can do!
I can show some pictures my friend Renee took of the last Jo's club meeting on Saturday.
This one is mine....I only wanted to make 4 blocks of the full quilt. I wanted something for christmas time to put on my kitchen counter

love, love, love Kim's!!!!! You wouldn't know that Jo had "brights" in her fabric lines, but with the black setting triangles Kim really made this pop!
The lady who did this tablerunner did as I did...played with the blocks to set it in a different way that makes us happy! :)

This one was another favorite of mine...that shade of brown with the blues was divine! Thinking I may have to do a quilt in those colors.
This was just too cute! In the Livermore group last year they did their own signature block exchange and this lady made a tote bag with her's. AWESOME!!!
